SQD-407 is a macroporous polystyrene-based Arsenic selective resin. It selectively adsorbs Arsenate and Arsenite from water and /or waste water containing various other anions. This resin is widely used for the treatments of drinking water and industrial waste water. After the treatment, the Arsenic content in the water could be less than 10ppb.
SQD-407 resin is usually used in two columns connected in series to get a better Arsenic removal efficiency. When the leakage of Arsenic in the effluent of the second column is over the required limit, the resin in the first column is regenerated. The regeneration is done by two steps. First, passing 2-3BV of 5-8% NaCl through the resin in 1 hour. Then wash with 2-3BV of DI water or clean water. Then Passing 2-3BV of 2-3% NaOH through the resin in 1 hour, and then rinse it with DI water or clean water until the effluent pH 8-9. Then the resin is ready for next run.
